Navigating some of Canada’s most remote regions, we rely on expertise, quick thinking, and a deep commitment to safety. Our teamwork keeps our aircraft moving, our passengers safe, and our northern communities connected.

A Day in the Life of a Flight Attendant at Air Inuit

Every day begins when the crew gathers for a quick briefing: weather, routes, community needs. Then it’s off to the aircraft, where the cabin is checked and prepared to welcome passengers who may be travelling for medical reasons, family visits, or essential work in the North.

Once airborne, the Flight Attendant becomes the heart of the journey: ensuring safety, offering comfort, and often greeting familiar faces who fly regularly between communities. Each stop has its own rhythm, sometimes a quick turnaround on a snowy runway, sometimes a chance to help load essential supplies or assist Elders boarding.

By day’s end, after several jumps across the North, the crew finish the day with a sense of purpose. It’s more than a job, it’s helping keep remote communities connected, one flight at a time.

A Day in the Life of a Pilot at Air Inuit

Every pilot’s day starts with a clear picture of what lies ahead: northern weather patterns, regional routes, and the operational needs of the moment. From there, each one heads to the aircraft they’ll pilot: King Airs and Twin Otters serving the northern communities, Dash‑8s and jets supporting the broader network.

Flying these aircraft means adapting to constantly changing environments. A Twin Otter departure from a remote gravel strip, a King Air descent through shifting northern winds, a Dash‑8 link between regions, or a jet leg connecting major destinations, every aircraft offers a different challenge, and every route a different purpose.

Our team reflects that same diversity. Some pilots work in rotation, spending focused periods flying across the North. Others are based in Montréal, ensuring smooth operations throughout the network. Whether rotating or based in Montreal, they share the same commitment to precision and service.

By the time the final aircraft is shut down, the day is marked by the places reached and the people moved. It’s not just about logbooks or miles flown, it's about keeping communities connected across vast distances, one flight at a time.
